A deep red and black color scheme gave these bindings a very unique look and provided a bold statement.
Very reliable, very durable and the release was “pure” and clean.
Dislikes
Toe wing adjustment, it was a pain in the keister. Regardless, unlike later Salomon products, the screw never stripped out. Once they were set, they remained set.
Replacement AFD’s were a pain as well. The AFD plastic was so soft, that after hiking in the backcountry, any small rocks stuck to the bottom of your ski shoe would dimple the AFD pad and ruin it.
